I started quilting at the early age of 19 when I lived in New England. From that beginning, quilt making and teaching became my passion and lifelong art. I fell in love with wool 10 years ago but was so frustrated with the lack of availability of patterns and fabric that Wild Thymes was created.

Wild Thymes Pattern Company produced its first designs in 1999. We started with 30 small 6"X8" blocks of flowers and then we were stuck! What do we do next? A colleague of ours answered that question for us by suggesting a Block-of-the-Month quilt - and the rest is history!

Since those first 12 Block-of-the-Month designs, we have enlarged our pattern line to include over 60 titles. We have grouped them into "collections" so it would be easier for our customers to find just the right project. Our philosophy is to produce designs that work in our everyday lives that are beautiful and FUN to make. We are always adding new patterns to our line and welcome your input for future additions. For example, we were hearing that we needed more items in our Christmas/Holiday line so the Mis-Matched Mittens were introduced at the very next market. You talk - we listen!

Because our wool appliqué is such a personal art, we are more than happy to customize any kit for you, our valued customer. If you want the "Penny Quilt" in bright colors instead of the muted wool we used, just tell us and it's done! There is no extra charge for this service; we just want you to be happy.

Any kit from Wild Thymes Pattern Company will include the pattern and all the pre-felted wool needed to execute the design. Most of the wool in our kits is hand-dyed right here in my kitchen for the very best quality control possible. Our kits do not include embroidery floss, beads, buttons or other embellishments unless specified in the description.  If you ever have a question, complaint or compliment, we welcome your call or e-mail.
